The age where children stop watching and start doing. Bright Sparks episodes are built to be paused, joined in with and finished with something in their hands.
18 minute episodes
Bright Sparks is our busiest library. Episodes are built in two halves: a story that sets up a problem, then a make-along where our host builds the answer at a pace a five year old can follow. Every make-along uses materials you already own, and the episode pauses itself at each step rather than racing ahead of a child still cutting out a circle.
Nearly every episode finishes with a made thing, not just a watched thing.
Episodes stop and wait at each step, so nobody is left behind mid-glue.
Words appear on screen as they are spoken, gently, without turning it into a lesson.
Cut-outs, templates and colouring sheets for the episodes that need them.
Five live make-alongs each week, thirty minutes each. The host reads the chat, uses real names and waits for slower hands. Materials are posted in your library the day before.
Paper, scissors, tape, crayons and whatever the recycling box holds. We publish the material list forty-eight hours before every live session.
Free to watch, no account needed, so you can judge the pace before anything is set up.

Profiles are separate and locked to their own library, so nothing bleeds across.
Send us your child's age and what they are into. We will set up a profile, point you at the episodes families start with, and let you decide from there. No card details are taken to begin.
