What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file placed on your device by a website. Some are needed for a site to function at all, and some are optional. This policy covers cookies and similar technologies such as local storage.

What we do not use

We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, social network trackers or data broker tags, anywhere on this website or inside the service. We carry no advertising, so there is nothing for such cookies to serve. There are no third-party trackers of any kind inside the child experience.

Strictly necessary cookies

• A session cookie that keeps you signed in and remembers which profile is active
• A short-lived cookie that preserves what you typed in a form if a submission fails
• A security cookie that protects forms against cross-site request forgery
• A cookie recording your cookie preferences, so we do not ask again

These cannot be switched off through our site because the service cannot function without them. They expire when you close the browser, except the preference cookie, which lasts twelve months.

Analytics

On the public marketing pages only, we use a single privacy-respecting analytics measure to count page views and understand which pages are useful. It does not use advertising identifiers, does not follow you to other websites and does not build a profile of you. It is not present inside the signed-in child experience at all.

Functional storage

The player uses local storage to remember playback position and volume so a child can resume an episode. This stays on your device and is not transmitted to us for any purpose beyond resuming playback.

Controlling cookies

Every major browser lets you see the cookies a site has set, delete them and block new ones. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you signing in and using the service. Instructions live in your browser's help pages, under privacy or site settings.

Changes and questions

If we ever add a cookie category, this page will be updated before it goes live and account holders will be told by email. Any question about cookies can go to [email protected], and our full privacy policy covers everything else we hold.
