Safety

Parental Controls

Controls are not an afterthought bolted onto a media player. They are the part we designed first, because they are the reason a parent can walk out of the room.

Age locks per profile

Each child profile is fixed to one age library. A seven year old cannot wander into Creators Club, and nothing outside their band is browsable or searchable.

Daily limits and wind-down

Set a daily allowance per profile. Hudson`s Animations warns five minutes before the end, finishes the current episode, then closes the session with the goodbye song rather than a hard cut.

No adverts, no purchases

There is no advertising anywhere in Hudson`s Animations, no sponsored placement inside episodes, no in-app currency and nothing a child can buy. Nothing in the app can spend your money.

A PIN on everything that matters

Billing, profile settings, limits and the parent dashboard all sit behind a four-digit PIN that is separate from your account password.

Chat that a person watches

Live session chat is moderated by a named human, restricted to a fixed phrase list for under-eights, and fully disableable per profile.

A weekly summary, if you want one

An optional Sunday email showing what was watched, what was made and how long was spent. Off by default, on when you say so.

Every minute reviewed

A person watches every episode end to end before it is published. Nothing is auto-approved, nothing is user-uploaded, and nothing plays automatically that we have not seen.

No data sold, ever

We do not sell, rent or share children's data. We do not build advertising profiles. You can export or delete everything on a profile at any time.

Setting a daily limit

Ends Well

A warning, then the episode finishes, then the wind-down song

Screen Time

Sessions That End Without An Argument

The hard part of screen time is not starting it. Every limit here is built to close a session as a ritual rather than an interruption.

  • Five minutes of warning. The profile is told before the time runs out, so the ending is not a surprise.
  • The episode finishes. Nothing is cut off mid-scene, which removes the single biggest reason for a protest.
  • A closing ritual. The wind-down song plays, and children learn that the song means the screen is done.
  • No autoplay countdown. There is no next episode ticking down in the corner trying to win another minute.

The Things Parents Ask First

None. No pre-rolls, no banners, no sponsored segments inside episodes, no product placement and no in-app purchases. The subscription funds the studio entirely, which is what makes this sustainable rather than a temporary promise.

Not freely. Live session chat is moderated by a named host, and for under-eights it is restricted to a fixed list of phrases and reactions. There is no direct messaging anywhere in Hudson`s Animations, and chat can be switched off per profile.

We collect what is needed to run the account and nothing else. We do not sell or rent data, we do not build advertising profiles and we do not use children's viewing data for anything except showing a parent their own weekly summary. You can export or delete a profile at any time.

You set a daily allowance per profile behind your parent PIN. Hudson`s Animations warns five minutes before the end, lets the current episode finish rather than cutting it off, then closes with the wind-down sequence. The session ends as a ritual rather than an interruption.
