How we handle information, and in particular how we handle children's information.
Ironborn Investments LLC, trading as Hudson`s Animations, operates this website and the Hudson`s Animations service. Our registered address is 6500 Lankershim Blvd, Unit 419, North Hollywood, CA 91606, USA. For any privacy question, including a request to access or delete data, write to [email protected].
We collect the minimum needed to run an account. We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone. We do not build advertising profiles, because we do not carry advertising. We do not use children's viewing data for any purpose other than letting a child resume an episode and showing a parent their own weekly summary.
A child profile holds a first name or nickname chosen by you, an age band, and a record of which episodes have been watched or started. That is the complete list. We do not ask for a child's surname, date of birth, school, photograph, location or contact details, and we would recommend you do not supply them.
Viewing history exists for two reasons only: so a child can resume an episode where they left it, and so we can show you a weekly summary if you have switched that on. It is not used for recommendations, is not shared outside our systems and is not used to train anything.
We share personal information only with the service providers required to run the business: our payment processor, our email delivery provider, and our hosting and content delivery providers. Each is bound by contract to process data only on our instructions. We do not sell, rent or trade personal information, and we do not permit any provider to use it for their own purposes.
We may disclose information where we are legally required to do so, or where necessary to protect the safety of a child. If we ever receive a legal demand for user data, we will notify the affected account holder unless we are prohibited from doing so.
There is no advertising anywhere in Hudson`s Animations, and there are no third-party advertising trackers in the child experience. We use a single privacy-respecting analytics measure on the public marketing pages of this website to count visits, which does not follow you to other sites.
You can ask us to give you a copy of everything we hold, correct anything inaccurate, delete a profile or the whole account, or restrict how we use it. Deleting a profile removes its history from live systems immediately and from backups within thirty days. We respond to every request within thirty days and we do not charge for it.
Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to complain to a data protection authority. We would ask you to raise it with us first, but that is your right and not a condition.
Accounts are opened and controlled by an adult. Child profiles exist inside a parent's account and cannot be created, altered or deleted by a child, since all profile settings sit behind the parent PIN. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from a child. If you believe a child has supplied us with information through a form, write to [email protected] and we will remove it.
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access to production systems is limited to named staff who need it, protected by two-factor authentication and reviewed quarterly. Payment card details never touch our servers. Should a breach ever affect your data, we will tell you and the relevant authority within seventy-two hours of becoming aware of it.
Our systems are hosted in the United States and the European Union. Where information moves between them, it does so under standard contractual clauses or an equivalent lawful mechanism.
If we change this policy in a way that materially affects you, we will email account holders at least thirty days before it takes effect. Minor clarifications are published here with an updated date.
