Why Parents Choose Us

Entertainment That Earns Its Place In Your Evening

Four decisions that shape everything we publish, and the reason families stay after the trial ends.

Watched before it is published

A named person watches every episode end to end. Nothing is user-uploaded, nothing is auto-approved and nothing is recommended by an algorithm chasing another minute.

Nothing to sell to your child

No adverts, no sponsored segments, no in-app currency and no upsell screens. The subscription is the entire business model, which is exactly why it can stay this way.

Designed to end well

Episodes are built to finish rather than to autoplay. Wind-downs, warnings and a closing ritual mean the session ends on its own terms instead of yours.

Made, not just watched

Most of what we publish leaves a child holding something. A drawing, a build, a track, a short film. Screen time that produces something is a different kind of hour.

Activities By Age

Four Libraries, One For Every Stage

Each library has its own written specification for episode length, pace, volume and vocabulary. A profile is locked to one band, so nothing outside it is browsable.

Parent-Friendly Controls

You Decide What A Screen Hour Looks Like

Controls are not an afterthought bolted onto a media player. They are the part we designed first, because they are the reason a parent can walk out of the room.

  • Age locks per profile. Each child profile is fixed to one age library. A seven year old cannot wander into Creators Club, and nothing outside their band is browsable or searchable.
  • Daily limits and wind-down. Set a daily allowance per profile. Hudson`s Animations warns five minutes before the end, finishes the current episode, then closes the session with the goodbye song rather than a hard cut.
  • No adverts, no purchases. There is no advertising anywhere in Hudson`s Animations, no sponsored placement inside episodes, no in-app currency and nothing a child can buy. Nothing in the app can spend your money.
  • A PIN on everything that matters. Billing, profile settings, limits and the parent dashboard all sit behind a four-digit PIN that is separate from your account password.

How It Works

From One Message To A Set-Up Profile

Most families start with a two-line message. We do the setting up, and nothing is charged to begin.

01

Tell us the ages

Send a short request with your children's ages and what they are currently obsessed with. We reply within one business day.

02

We set the profiles up

We create a profile per child, lock each one to the right age library and set daily limits to whatever you tell us feels right.

03

Fourteen free days

The full library, all live sessions, no card details taken. We send a short starting list so nobody has to browse from scratch.

04

Keep it or leave it

At the end of the trial you choose a plan or you do not. Cancelling takes one click and there is no retention call.

Party & Event Booking

A Real Party, Without A Living Room Full Of Children

A named host runs the hour live. Games chosen with you beforehand, a make-along, a story segment and a birthday moment where your child is named out loud.

  • No account, no app. Guests join from any device with a single link and a one-page guide.
  • Built around your child. The theme comes from what they are into right now, not from a menu of five options.
  • A producer on the call. Signature and Grand packages include someone whose only job is making sure nothing breaks.

What Parents Tell Us

Published as they arrive, including the ones that point out where we were slower than promised.

The wind-down song is the whole thing for us. Screen time used to end in a negotiation every single evening. Now she knows the song means it is finished, and she turns the tablet off herself. I did not expect a small production decision to change our bedtime.

Rachel Whitcombe

Parent of two, Portland, OR

My son is nine and had already worked out that most children's content talks down to him. Big Explorers does not. He built a bridge out of newspaper that held four textbooks and then explained load-bearing to me over dinner. That was worth the subscription on its own.

Daniel Osei

Daniel Osei

Parent of one, Atlanta, GA

Three children, three age groups, three separate profiles that do not bleed into each other. The eleven year old cannot see what the four year old watches and, more importantly, the four year old cannot stumble into what the eleven year old is doing.
